The Big Tree - The "Big Tree" is a Swamp Gum or Eucalyptus regnans. This specimen is approx 400 years old and contender for the largest known Eucalyptus tree as measured by wood volume. At 87m tall and a girth of 17.2m at 1.3 m above the ground it may be the largest-stemmed flowering plant on earth.
